Health Benefits

Fine Motor

Mastery of DJ skills requires manipulation, much like handwriting. DJing offers an alternative means of developing these skills, away from exercise books.

Attention & Focus

Encourages children to pay attention, a skill that is becoming increasingly rare in a world full of screens.

Employment

The music industry is well suited to the autistic, and ADHD neurotypes. Just 30% of autisitc adults in employment, and we want to encourage children to choose careers that reflect their strengths.

Course Leaders

The course is led by two neurodiverse females, who have both worked in the music industry. Together they've created a fun-filled workshop guaranteed to excite music enthusiasts! To Soph and Hannah, music isn't just a hobby, but a meaningful way for them to self-soothe their nervous systems, and manage their sensory processing differences.

They're both proud of their diverseness, and hope that their approach will inspire young people to accept their differences, as strengths. Their complimentary skills and lived experience of coping in a world that's often overwhelming for the neurodiverse, make them the perfect pair to lead this exciting new workshop.
