Safeguarding
Our Commitment to Children and Families
Your child’s safety and well-being are always our highest priority, and we're committed to creating a safe, respectful and supportive environment for everyone. Safeguarding means protecting children and young people from harm and ensuring they feel safe, listened to and supported.
How We Keep Children Safe
We work to safeguard children by:
-
Always acting in the best interests of the child
-
Working in a professional, open, and respectful way with families
-
Maintaining clear professional boundaries
-
Keeping our safeguarding knowledge and training up to date
-
Holding appropriate checks and registrations for working with children
If We Have a Safeguarding Concern
Occasionally, we may become concerned about a child’s safety or well-being. This might be due to something a child says, something we observe, or information shared with us.
If a safeguarding concern arises:
-
Your child’s safety will always come first
-
We will take concerns seriously and act promptly
-
We may need to seek advice or share information with other professionals or services who can help keep your child safe
Where possible and appropriate, we will aim to be open and honest with parents and carers about any concerns.
Confidentiality and Information Sharing
We respect families’ privacy and will usually only share information with your consent. However, if there is a concern that a child may be at risk of harm, we may need to share information without consent to protect the child.
Any information shared will be relevant, appropriate, and handled sensitively.
Raising a Safeguarding Concern
If you have a concern about your child’s safety or the safety of another child, we encourage you to speak to us as soon as possible. You can also seek advice directly from your local authority or child protection services.
