Meet the therapist

Hi, I'm Hannah,

I'm an Occupational Therapist based in Sheffield, working with people on a wide variety of goals. My approach is built on a solid foundation of clinical knowledge and applied practice. I've worked in the education, health, and care sectors for 12 years, and I absolutely love my job!

I believe that when neurodiversity is understood and harnessed correctly, it’s a gift. I integrate my passion for the outdoors, creativity, and clinical skills into my work to encourage others to find joy and connection. My greatest reward is helping you, your child, or student(s) shift from overwhelm to realising their unique way of operating is their strength.

Together, we'll overcome what may seem like impossible barriers so you can achieve a calmer, happier life.

My journey to becoming an Occupational Therapist has been one of struggle, self-discovery and, ultimately, understanding. I was diagnosed with combined-type ADHD at 28, after years of working incredibly hard to achieve things that seemed to come naturally to other people. For a long time, I didn't have the understanding or support to make sense of why certain things felt so difficult. I knew that I was struggling, and I became very good at pushing through.

I don't want children to grow up believing that they are the problem, or that they need to try harder to fit into a world that wasn't designed with their needs in mind. I want children to be understood for who they are, supported in the areas they find difficult, and allowed to discover what they can do.

I am committed to continually learning and looking beyond the obvious to understand the individual child in front of me. Every child has their own strengths, challenges, experiences and way of processing the world. There is no one size fits all approach.

For me, being an OT isn't simply about identifying difficulties and providing strategies. It's about truly understanding the person, listening to what matters to them and finding practical ways to reduce barriers so they can participate, connect and thrive.

These values of curiosity, compassion and individuality are at the heart of my practice.

The best evidence of this is what my clients tell me themselves...

Testimonials

Hannah has been supporting our family really well. She gives clear advice and is very understanding of our concerns.

It's obvious how much knowledge Hannah has of her subject, but more importantly, she approaches it with empathy and is happy to tailor support to our unique situation."

I can't thank Hannah enough for the support she has given us as a family.  She is calm, approachable, and always gives her time and knowledge.

She has built an amazing rapport with our son, and he looks forward to sessions. We, too, feel validated in our thoughts and feelings.

Hannah has a brilliant understanding of the subject, and the most valuable part is her ability to listen to the specific needs of my family around supporting my children's journey. She's helped them to build a greater awareness, so they have the tools to excel in a world without feeling the strain of being different.

I'd definitely recommend her if you are seeking ideas, support, advice, and resources to help your child thrive in a practical manner.

Hannah has been an exceptional support to my two pupils with ASD. One student could have violent outbursts, yet Hannah met him with consistent kindness, patience, and a deeply nurturing approach.

Hannah's insight, dedication, and genuine care have made a meaningful, lasting difference. I'm grateful for the positive impact she has had.

J.Busby - SEN Teacher

Hannah has been amazing. I begged the LA/NHS to do a sensory assessment, but it was refused.

Hannah recognised my daughter's needs straight away, and she absolutely loved Hannah. The plan she made for us really helped. Thank you, Hannah. You're amazing!

Hannah comes into the nursery setting every week to work with one of our children. He has come on leaps and bounds since working with Hannah. Although Hannah comes in to see one child, she has been happy for other children to engage in the activities.

Hannah is always available if staff want to ask her some questions, and she has recently delivered a training session at the nursery, which all the staff found very informative. We would recommend Hannah to anyone :)
